Swap your school and your home for a while.

Life Swap lets you travel with your children without giving up what matters most: pedagogical continuity, the values you've chosen as a family and the educational consistency you build every day. Your children keep learning in a school that shares your approach.
Somewhere, a family is waiting to swap lives with yours.
How does it work?

‍
Two families with the same educational approach, sharing values and goals, decide to swap their homes and their schools. This makes an international experience truly accessible to every family, without affecting your budget:each family continues to cover its own expenses, exactly as it would at home. The only cost is the platform access fee.

On the other side of the swap there is always a family like yours —same vision, same approach, same care. And then there's the magic: books you would never have opened, games you'd never played, new flavours, real life in a real city. An authentic immersion in a different culture, lived like a local.

The suitcase is light. The heart fills in ways you never expected.

The moment they begin to discover who they are.

Go Teen is our programme for young people aged 12 to 16. Two teens with the same educational values meet through our platform and share home, school and daily life — first in one city, then in the other.
Because some things can only be learned by living them.
How does it work?
Ana from Valencia spends a month in Edinburgh as part of Edith's family. The following month, the two travel together to Valencia, where Edith becomes part of Ana's family. You learn to be the one who makes room and the one who is welcomed — two different experiences, equally precious. New school, new language, new friendships that may last a lifetime.
‍

EEvery exchange comes with a dedicated mentor— a neutral figure, independent of both schools, who meets both teens before departure. Every week, the mentor holds a one-to-one session with the teen who is away from home, covering emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing. After each session, the family receives feedback. Conversations stay private, but parents always know everything is fine — and are informed immediately if needed.

A safe harbour, always.

Your experience, exactly as you imagined it.

First Move is our bespoke service for families who want to spend an immersive period abroad, while ensuring their children attend a school that reflects the educational approach they believe in. Every detail is designed around you.
You've imagined it so many times. Now it's possible.
How does it work?

We listen to your wishes and your needs, and together we build the perfect experience for your family. A dedicated consultant supports you from start to finish — helping you find the right school in the city you've chosen, guiding your search for a home and assisting you with the logistical and bureaucratic details.

‍No exchange: the experience is built entirely around you. You choose where, when and for how long; we support you through everything in between. Your children keep learning, and you're never on your own.

The first step is yours. We'll walk the rest of the way with you.

How it works

Because all our partner schools share the same alternative pedagogical method and approach, children can move between them smoothly — maintaining pedagogical coherence and adapting with ease.
‍
We personally select and certify every school that joins our network. Once your school becomes a partner, we provide you with an exclusive access code to share with your families — giving them access to our platform and to all our programmes.
‍
For a fully personalised experience, First Move is managed directly with a dedicated consultant.

Frequently asked questions answered

Why only alternative schools?

arrow_down

We have chosen to focus on educational projects that reflect our values. We firmly believe that children who move within a consistent pedagogical method and approach adapt much more serenely — and can pick up exactly where they left off in their home school.

Which pedagogical methods and approaches do you accept?

arrow_down

We welcome all recognised alternative educational methods and approaches: Montessori, Waldorf Steiner, Forest School, Outdoor School, Reggio Emilia approach and Democratic Schools.

Do you also work with educational projects that are not formally registered as schools?

arrow_down

Yes. We recognise that alternative education takes many forms. We welcome educational projects with diverse legal structures, as long as they meet our selection criteria and share our values.

How do you select schools?

arrow_down

We personally evaluate every school that applies to join our network. Our selection is based on seven key criteria:
• Holistic education and child-centred approach
• Authenticity of the pedagogical method
• Connection with nature
• Healthy and local food
• Respectful digital policies
• A present and engaged educational community
• Respectful education and inclusion

How does the process work?

The school applies or is selected by We Go & Grow. Once the partnership agreement is signed, the school completes its profile on the platform and receives an exclusive access code to share with its families. This code guarantees platform access exclusively to families from verified partner schools — ensuring a trusted, closed community from the very start.

What do you ask of us?

arrow_down

Very little. We ask you to open your doors for an initial visit, to assign us a dedicated point of contact within the school, and to complete your school profile on our platform.
After that, you can go back to doing what you do best: helping children grow.

Is there a cost for the school?

arrow_down

No. Joining the We Go & Grow network involves no cost for the school. The platform fee is covered entirely by the families.

Are the families verified?

arrow_down

Yes. All families on our platform come exclusively from We Go & Grow partner schools. To activate an exchange, every family must have completed their full profile on the platform — including all required documentation.Very little. We ask you to open your doors for an initial visit, to assign us a dedicated point of contact within the school, and to complete your school profile on our platform.

What are your values?

arrow_down

Authenticity — We work only with genuine pedagogical methods and verified schools.
Holistic education — We believe in emotional, social, cognitive and creative development, with deep attention to the child's emotional and physical wellbeing.
Accessibility — We believe international experiences should be open to everyone, not just a few: accessible and truly democratic.
Community — The network is the real value: technology is a tool, people are the heart.

Who handles the bureaucracy?

arrow_down

We do. We Go & Grow takes care of all administrative and bureaucratic aspects of the exchange. The host school receives a complete profile of the child — including allergies, specific needs, habits, preferences and learning inclinations — all prepared and verified by us, and accessible directly on the platform.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of exchanges required?

arrow_down

No. There are no minimum or maximum obligations. The school decides freely whether and when to accept an exchange request.

Are we obliged to accept an exchange?

arrow_down

No. No exchange is mandatory. The school will receive requests that it is completely free to accept or decline based on its own evaluation — whether there are already other exchanges in place in the same class, the group is working on specific dynamics and is not ready to welcome a new child, there have been changes in the teaching staff, or any other reason the school deems relevant.
